Titled “Overcoming the Surgical Jitters”, Melissa Doyle introduces the study as a “remarkable new trial” that saw patients “overwhelmingly in favour of being shown a short video of what will happen to them in the operating theatre, instead of a nervy briefing from the surgeon in their gown.”
The findings of the trial as shown in the Seven News story show that “4 out of 5 (patients) said the touch screen left them more informed and less nervous.”
